This year’s Culture Night will see the very welcome return of the previously sold-out Secret Lesbian and Queer History of Dublin 1 Walking Tour, led by historian Mary McAuliffe.

This tour explores the rich lesbian and queer history right on the Gate Theatre’s doorstep.

Mary McAuliffe is a historian, lecturer, and Director of Gender Studies at UCD. She specialises in Irish women’s / gender history, trauma histories of gendered and sexual violence of Ireland’s revolutionary period, and histories of sexualities.
