Immerse yourself in the captivating world of documentary filmmaking at this D-Light Studios screening of North Circular & the World Premiere of the director’s cut of Circular Line.

Luke McManus crafted the award-winning documentary musical North Circular during his residency at D-Light Studios, adding an intimate connection to the venue’s creative spirit. North Circular takes you on a musical trip through the bustling streets of inner-city Dublin, exploring its rich history, music, and stories with appearances from local musicians including John Francis Flynn, Ian Lynch, Lisa O’Neill and Gemma Dunleavy. North Circular was funded by the Arts Council/An Comhairle Ealaíon as part of their ReelArt programme.

It is accompanied by a programme of short films, the highlight of which is the World Premiere screening of the director’s cut of Circular Line, an 11-minute exploration of the Circular Line of the Grand Canal soundtracked by Dublin’s electronic musicians Mount Alaska. Circular Line which was commissioned by Waterways Ireland for Culture Night.

There will also be an exhibition of images using a slideshow format where creatives based in the north inner city will present work.
