Description:

Áine Uí Fhoghlú will read from her newly published trilingual collection of poetry on Culture Night 2026, which celebrates the unique connection between this Gaeltacht poet and Argentina. After many years of unsuccessful searching, she finally managed to find her godparents, whom she did not know growing up. With the connection renewed, it wasn’t long before she travelled to Buenos Aires to meet the people who had stood as her godparents at her baptism years earlier. These poems are a celebration of that very special reunion. With musical accompaniment by Caoimhín Ó Fearghail.
