Saint Brigid’s Cloak: A Community Craft Experience with Ballina Costume Company.

Culture Night Falls on the eve of the Autumn Equinox, and this year at the Jackie Clarke Collection we will be looking forward with hope and creative intention to the coming of Spring, and particularly to Saint Brigid's Day 2024 when our new national holiday will fall for the second time on the auspicious 1500th anniversary of the founding of St Brigid's Church. Responding creatively to the legend of Saint Brigid's cloak, Ballina Costume Company will host an introduction to a exciting craft project, in which many hands will make light work of the journey through winter, and a fabulous cloak will be manifested in Ballina in honour of the beloved female Saint.
