Roller Disco at Central Plaza
Get ready for this action-packed Culture Night Dublin take-over of Central Plaza for the city’s first ever outdoor roller disco!
Over the past few years, roller skating has seen a resurgence worldwide, and Dublin is no exception. If you take a stroll around Grand Canal Dock, Sandymount Strand or Dún Laoghaire Pier, you are bound to encounter members of this vibrant community. Inspired by the regular roller disco meet-ups on Sundays in Central Park, New York, and Skate Love Festival, Barcelona, participants and spectators alike will have a blast this Culture Night at Central Plaza.
Presented in collaboration with Hines, the event will be hosted by roller-skating extraordinaire and Culture Night Dublin Ambassador, Gráinne Binns, with classic disco tunes provided by Bang Bike Belfast. Come dressed to impress in disco and festival-inspired wear and dance the night away in the heart of Dublin City Centre.
This is a 16+ event. All participants must bring their own roller skates and PPE. Wrist guards mandatory. Due to the nature of the dancing area, roller skates are recommended, not roller blades.
Walk-ups may be permitted depending on capacity. 30 minute slots are available to book over the course of the event. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your allocated time to check in and drop off your personal belongings.
