Resilience

Kilkenny Arts Office Emerging Curator Programme

Resilience is a statement. A statement of supporting women, supporting artists and supporting the community. Resilience will examine the complexity and strength of the human condition in the face of adversity – and how it prevails. This feminist programme celebrates the works of Sarah Browne, Breda Lynch and a special commission of work by Amber Women’s Refuge. Resilience will have many community engagements and educational output’s in it’s duration including a talk by Marie O’Connor of Survivors of Symphysiotomy, a panel discussion of themes of overcoming, a tactile tour and a community response exhibition.

Everyone is most welcome to our official opening on Culture Night at Unit 28, MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre, Hebron Rd, Kilkenny from 6 – 8 pm

The exhibition is open Thursday – Saturday 10 – 5pm until the 22nd of October.
