The dictionary defines refraction as the deflection of a light ray from a straight path, its passing from one medium into another with a different velocity.
After spending a year soaked with quarantines, negative news, separation and isolation, eight individuals made the decision to dive back into the world of education and embark on the journey to an MA in Creative Practice. Coming from different disciplines, ranging from Visual Art, Fiction Film, Documentary, Graphic Design, Sound Design, Photography, and Scriptwriting, these artists spent a year developing and evolving their craft.
As the world slowly seeps back to some semblance of normality, you are invited this September to an exhibition of their works at the School of Design and Creative Arts campus of the newly formed Atlantic Technological University. We hope to see you there.
The show will be opened on Friday 16 September at the Cluain Mhuire campus of the School of Creative Media by Galway City Arts Officer, Gary McMahon at 6pm.
