Description:

The “Sounds of Kilfenora” Project delves into the area’s musical history curating an extensive online archive. The archive includes biographies of 85 people and includes archival recordings of some of those people playing. In the archive you can also search by the townlands in and around Kilfenora and North Clare area to see where the musicians came from and who in the locality was also playing traditional music at the time. “Sound your A” is a book and double CD of music recorded in the main by John Byrt beginning with members of the Corcomroe Ceili Band 1954 and continuing throughout the 1960’s.
