Grand Tour of Powerscourt Townhouse Centre

The Powerscourt Townhouse Centre is back for a series of tours of Lord Powerscourt’s beautiful and historical Townhouse. Though the townhouse has been transformed into an elegant shopping centre, the stunning Georgian architecture is preserved. Allow yourself to be transported back to the eighteenth century with this wonderful tour, which starts in the Kitchens and ends in the Ballroom. Visitors will truly catch a glimpse of what life was like in Georgian Dublin, right in the heart of the city. Steps away from Grafton Street, Richard Wingfield, 3rd Viscount Powerscourt (1730-1788) and his wife Amelia originally purchased the house to entertain guests. Three centuries later, the reputation for being a house of great fun still remains!
