This Culture Night at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova, visitors are invited to view Portraits of Heritage in Modern Lines, a contemporary art exhibition presenting a series of portraits created by artist Svetlana Marineac. 

The portraits explore themes of memory, tradition, and belonging, translating ancestral symbols and cultural narratives into a contemporary artistic language. Through expressive colour, light, and composition, each artwork becomes a dialogue between past and present, reflecting the evolving nature of identity in a modern world. Executed in a modern visual style, they remain deeply rooted in cultural identity and heritage. 

This exhibition invites Culture Night visitors to reflect on how heritage continues to shape personal and collective identity, even as styles, environments, and generations change.

This event is part of the European Culture Trail – a EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Ireland.
