Pigtown Parade

This year for Culture Night Limerick Food Group plans to once again celebrate our city's ham heritage of a bygone age, and our modern food culture, in bringing the Pigtown Parade to our city streets (route to be agreed) ending in a party at Limerick Milk Market. We will have face painting and Pigtown mask-making at the gathering area of the parade and amobile petting zoo at the finish point in the Milk Market. Our Giant Pig family will be pushed the distance of the parade route, along with guest floats, and all our new piglet masked family that want to partake.This year the Pigtown Culture & Food series ('Pigtown Festival') starts on the 21st of September and runs until October 1st. We will build up to the Parade with Limerick's favourite pig family doing guest appearances in local Limerick establishments in the run up to their big evening out for Culture Night.
