With screenings at multiple venues around Roscommon, audiences will have the chance to view ‘A Poem To be Said On Hearing The Birds Sing’ wherever suits them. This emotive outdoor film representation of Douglas Hyde’s poem visualises the struggle for Irish independence in Co Roscommon.

Venues: Roscommon Arts Centre, King House in Boyle, Douglas Hyde Centre in Frenchpark, Strokestown Park House.

A Roscommon County Council commission supported by the Arts Office and Arts Council of Ireland Culture Night Programme, together with the Community Strand of the 2020 Decade of Centenaries Programme.
