Description:

Enjoy Culture Night with a cycle around a Laois heritage trail, followed by a night of music and storytelling!

This night of celebration is paying homage to the hole in the ground known fondly as “The Well” in Irish Culture!

The event commences at 4.30pm in Tintore Ballacolla with a small celebration to mark the re installation of the water pump adjacent to the old Manor School on the R433 Ballacolla to Rathdowney road near Manor Stone service station. Afterwards The Rothar Rogues cycling club members will symbolically carry a bucket of water 8.5Km to Aylward’s Museum commemorating a rural Ireland task of drawing water home from the local well.

After some refreshments an evening of Storytelling, Music & Poetry will commence at 7.30pm
