Marie McInerney is a self-taught artist, living in West Cork for over 30 years. Her early years were spent in wild Donegal and she credits this and the Wild Atlantic Way as a significant influence on her art. An affinity with Mythological and Celtic Symbolism is starting to show in her recent artwork. Working in Oils, she takes inspiration from the beauty we are surrounded with in Ireland. She is a member of the Owenabue Arts Collective, selling original and limited edition prints from their Gallery and Art Centre in Carrigaline.
Marie will be painting on Culture Night and is inviting you to join her. Why not paint on canvases which you can take away with you? She believes everyone can paint, so come along and have a go.
