Painting Dunmore: Artform Plein Air Exhibition 2022

Artform School of Art

For this year’s Culture Night, Artform School of Art invites you to an art exhibition in its home village of Dunmore East, Co. Waterford.

The exhibition showcases plein air painting as well as other work created in the Dunmore area by artists selected through an open call competition, and by artists invited for an Artform mini residency.

Last summer, artists and Artform tutors Steve Browning, Aidan Crotty, Neal Greig, Tony Robinson or Dave West had accepted our invitation to spend time painting in the beautiful coastal village of Dunmore East. Hosted by The Strand Inn, Artform’s patron and accommodation partner, artists explored and painted Dunmore East and the surrounding seascape, life, and architecture.

The result, an exhibition of over 40 artworks is held in the spaces of The Strand Inn (reception lobby and front bar areas), seaside family boutique hotel adjacent to Artform studio, overlooking the Dunmore Bay and Hook Lighthouse. The show is open from 11am until 11pm.

Join artists and arts lovers all over Ireland on Friday 23 September, and make your night out in Dunmore East a Culture Night with fine dining and fine art in a beautiful seaside setting.
