All budding artists, young and old, amateur and established are invited to display their artwork on the railings of Carrigaline’s Town Park.

Bring your art, your chair and a picnic if you wish and unleash your talent on the world. Sit down and watch the world go by. Enjoy peoples reactions to your artwork, try your hand at selling or chat to fellow artists exhibiting nearby. Stewards will provide cable ties and cord to help attach artwork to the railings.

All Artists must stay and supervise their display. Stay an hour, two hours or 3 hours but simply take down your display whenever you wish to leave. Social distancing guidelines must be strictly adhered to.

Meet the Maker: Candle-Maker Frances Murphy

Artist Frances Murphy will host this fun candle making workshop. Create your own rolled beeswax candles which are beautifully honey scented. Frances Murphy created Bee kind candles, eco friendly Beeswax Candles, Scented Candles and Aromatherapy oil blends.

Frances, who hails from Bere Island in West Cork, was reared on a farm which included bee hives. She has always been fascinated with nature and natural products so this business is a natural progression from her Reflexology and Aromatherapy profession. Now a resident in Carrigaline, her delightful candles are available in Owenabue Arts Collective Gallery and Craft Shop.
This fun candle making workshop will focus on rolled beeswax candles which are beautifully honey scented. Take this lovely opportunity to participate in the Arts this Culture Night.

An ongoing exhibition by 28 local Cork artists. Featuring fine art and locally produced crafts. Culture Night sees the one year Anniversary of this Collective of local artists. Meet The Maker: Herbalist Tiarnan O'Sullivan

Tiernan demonstrates how to derive natural oils using age old copper pots and the distillation process. Mac Tíre Apothecary was created by Tiarnan O’ Sullivan, a community herbalist based in Cork, Ireland. He grows his own herbs and will demonstrate the visually impressive distillation process. The Owenabue Arts Collective offers a selection of Tiernan’s hand crafted herbal preparations made with love and care. Pop along and discuss natural balms, creams and natural remedies!

Adopt an Artist

Artists from the Owenabue Arts Collective will add splashes of colour to Main Street, Carrigaline when participating businesses will ‘Adopt An Artist’ for Culture Night.

Check out Main Street Carrigaline between 4pm and 9pm and marvel at the creativity on display from local talented artists. On display in shop windows will be a selection of ceramics, oil paintings, jewellery, woodwork, textiles, fibre art, candle-making and more. Who knows, you might even catch a demo or two! Why not round off the night with a dip into the Gallery itself to pick up the perfect gift?
