Open evening at National Library of Ireland

- Offline
Description:
The National Library of Ireland is looking forward to welcoming visitors to their three locations for Culture Night 2023. On Kildare Street, wander in through the hall to view the beautiful reading room which will be open through the evening, meet our staff, learn about the library, view the Lego model of the library and enjoy musical performances. All welcome!
The exhibition ‘Yeats: the life and works of William Butler Yeats’ will be open in the main building on Kildare Street until 9pm. Sit awhile and listen to some of the poet’s best loved poems and stroll through the exhibition exploring the many interests of WB Yeats: Ireland, literature, folklore, theatre, politics, the occult – and his significant influence on modern Irish cultural identity.
Dublin Bach Singers will perform a selection of joyful and atmospheric works at 7.15pm and at 8.15pm.
At other NLI venues, you can enjoy a self-guided tour of our exhibition Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again, Westmoreland Street, or explore People and Places at our gallery located at the National Photographic Archive, Meeting House Square, Temple Bar.
