Odd-Being and Ongoingness In The Age of Humans

- Offline
Description:
A truly unique exhibition of work by Gerard Fenniman with minimalist pieces created from crocheted silage wrap, hanging from spherical discs and stitched together to create cylindrical like hollow, abstract forms. The pieces will be suspended using internal structures on casters giving them a sense of weightlessness.
The artist has made microbial batteries out of manure from his farm that will power LED lights controlled by various sensors so the pieces will interact with passersby.
Gerard, from Knockaderry, Co. Limerick, graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design in 1992. Notwithstanding an acquired brain injury and disability he returned to LSAD for a 2-year MA in Fine Art through Research that he completed in 2020.
Official opening by Norma Prendiville.
