Description:
On Culture Night, why not try some needle felting. This technique is considered to be one of the oldest textile crafts and is also a therapeutic art form which can help reduce stress.
2D felting is also known as felt painting. It uses a long thin needle which has a series of barbs at its tip. The wool is poked using the needle which causes the fibres to become entangled. This technique was invented in the 1800’s.
It also has many useful properties including being biodegradable, natural and ecological.
There are endless possibilities as to what can be achieved but be warned it’s highly addictive!
