Virtual Tour of 'Proclaiming a Republic: The 1916 Rising'

Online

This Culture Night, Friday, 18 September, join us for the premiere of a virtual tour of Proclaiming a Republic: The 1916 Rising, an exhibition which was on display at the NMI –  Decorative Arts & History, Collins Barracks, Dublin 7, from 2016 – 2020.

This film, featuring Museum curators, educators and guides, provides an engaging, informative and thought-provoking look at this important exhibition, exploring this significant period in our history. The exhibition, which formed a key element of the nation’s commemorations of the centenary of the Easter Rising when it opened in 2016, focused on the events leading up to and during Easter Week through objects, documents and photographs from the Museum’s Easter Week Collection.
