The former Mariners Church of Kingstown, built in the mid 1800s, today houses the National Maritime Museum of Ireland. Operated and run by a charitable organisation with a group of enthusiastic volunteers, the Museum offers a view into historic maritime events and displays artefacts of our relationship with the sea. Visitors are welcome to a guided tour of its ever growing collection, from tools to intricate ship models. Navigational instruments can be admired and a selection of maritime stories are told.
