Join us for an evening of art, food, music and entertainment this Culture Night!

To tie in with our latest exhibition, Sorolla: Spanish Master of Light, we will be offering a range of Spanish-themed activities.

Enjoy flamenco dance and guitar performances, heavenly choirs, and fascinating guided tours. Savour some tapas in the Gallery Café, and get creative at a family workshop in our Maples Group Creative Space.

FAMILY FUN

5.30pm – 8.30pm | Sorolla’s Super Sunhat! 
Be inspired by the master of sunlight himself, and make your own super sunhat at this drop-in creative workshop for children and their families.

Instituto Cervantes Dublin will also run a Sorolla-themed family workshop from 6pm to 8pm, so be sure to pay them a visit after!

5.30pm – 8.30pm | Selfie central
Have your picture taken in a life-size replica of one of our master paintings from our collection – you too can be the Queen of Spain, or engage in Military Manoeuvres. Selfie frames also on site!

6pm: Join the National Gallery of Ireland’s workplace choir as they take you on a short musical stroll through some of our Irish collection, including a rendition of Ireland’s Favourite Painting On Raglan Road in front of Ireland’s Favourite Painting (voted in 2012), The Meeting on the Turret Stairs.

Wintergarden Café
The Café is offering a special Spanish-inspired Culture Night tapas menu, as well as lots of items from the regular menu.
