Celebrate young musical talent from across Laois at a lively Culture Night open mic in the newly developed youth space at the People’s Park, Portlaoise. Set among natural woodlands, the outdoor venue features permanent staging, amphitheatre-style seating, a sound desk area and space for audiences to gather and enjoy live music.

Young bands and singer-songwriters aged 12–20 from across County Laois are invited to perform. All genres are welcome, and participants will be supported in a professional live setting.

Music Generation Laois musician educators will provide instruments and equipment, including drum kit, bass and guitar amps, keyboard and guitars, while a professional sound and lighting team will help create a high-quality performance experience.

The evening will be hosted by Comhairle na nÓg and Music Generation Laois Jam-time members, with support from Laois Sports Office, MGL musicians and the wider team.

Applications: Bands and singers must apply in advance by Friday 11 September at 5pm.

Application forms and further information are available at musicgenerationlaois.ie.
