For Culture Night, Bolands Mills comes alive with music, art, performance and storytelling, with something happening around every corner of the historic Dublin landmark.

Across its squares, studios, cafés, bars, salons and community spaces, the programme brings together some of Ireland’s most exciting creative talent alongside local voices and stories, with street food and bars adding to the atmosphere and making Bolands Mills a place to settle in for the evening.

At The Factory, a building with an extraordinary musical history, three distinctive Irish acts take to the main stage:
● Sorcha Richardson, the Choice Music Prize-nominated songwriter whose first two albums both reached the Irish Top 5, arrives fresh from the release of her third album.
● AE MAK brings her distinctive, theatrical take on contemporary folk, following performances at festivals including Reading & Leeds, Latitude and Iceland Airwaves.
● Zaska, the genre-blurring collective led by guitarist and songwriter Max Zaska, brings together funk, jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Over the years, Max has collaborated with some of Ireland’s most exciting artists, including Hozier, Denise Chaila, Soda Blonde and Gemma Dunleavy.

Out in Bolands Square, street artist Kevin Bohan (K-Bone) and poet Cormac Fitzgerald create a new community-inspired artwork live on the night.

At Grindstone Coffee, DJ and chef Marcus O’Laoire takes to the decks for a vinyl session inspired by artists with connections to Bolands Mills over the years, from Bowie and Britney to Bono.

Inside Don’t Kill My Vibe, In the Chair transforms the salon into an intimate storytelling space, where local people share the memories, humour and experiences of a community that has lived through, and helped shape, the transformation of the area.

At Reformation, free movement micro-sessions offer a chance to slow things down, and take a moment to pause between experiences.

Round off the evening in Daphni, where experimental jazz collective Bricknasty strip things back for an intimate set in one of Bolands Mills’ most atmospheric corners.

Free and open to all from 6.30pm-9.30pm. With music, food and drinks across the site, and the night continuing later at Daphni, Culture Night at Bolands Mills is designed to be explored, experienced and made a night of.
