Description:

Culture Night 2026 is a popular free evening event in the Thomas MacDonagh Hedge School programme.
The theme of the Hedge School programme, marking the 110th anniversary of the Rising in 2026, is Memory and Legacy.

On Culture Night, Friday 18 September, we invite you to join us in the Museum for the launch of an exhibition curated by Cloughjordan artist Lian Callaghan and featuring members of the North Tipperary Artists’ Collective.

Inspired by the Hedge School themes of Memory and Legacy and the Museum’s collection of MacDonagh family artefacts, the exhibition will showcase 15 original works by local artists.

The artworks will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going directly to the artists. The exhibition will remain on display for four weeks and includes a Meet the Maker evening. Culture Night also includes reflections and insights from participants in the genealogy workshops held on the 16th and 17th.
