Local Materials, My Vision.
The concept of this event is to showcase the boundless creativity of artists, emphasizing that there are no limitations in artistic expression, and any available materials can be used to bring their ideas to life.
The exhibition will feature a diverse range of art forms, including paintings, sculptures, designs, and craftworks, all created by me over the past 3 years, deeply influenced by my 7-year experience of living in Vicarstown, Laois, Ireland.
Through my artwork, I aim to illustrate the profound impact that the local culture and surroundings of Laois have had on my artistic journey. The central focus of these creations lies in the innovative use of a wide variety of materials that are currently accessible. I have predominantly utilized locally sourced materials, such as stones from the fields, trees felled by storms or cleared from roads, rusty metal from the backyard, and even peat.
The exhibited sculptures will vary in scale and style, including works of large, medium, and small dimensions, all skillfully crafted from different materials, such as wood, metal, and stone. The exhibition will encompass abstract conceptual sculptures with antigravity structures made from metal, as well as realistic sculptures carved from wood and stone. Additionally, there will be captivating abstract Suprematist paintings.
Moreover, the exhibition will feature object designs, including, as well as crafted wooden bowls and exquisite jewelry pieces made from stone.
Each art piece serves as a testament to the limitless possibilities of creativity and the seamless integration of various materials. The exhibition celebrates the harmony between creativity and resourcefulness.
