Life around the Rath with Aideen Cross in Rathangan Library

Aideen Cross

On Culture Night, you are invited to an exhibition of textile art, photography and painting in Rathangan Library, depicting the life, culture and heritage of Rathangan down through the years. Two large textile pieces created by TY students from Ard Scoil Rathangan and locals over the past two years, funded by a Creative Ireland bursary awarded to local artist Aideen Cross, will be on view, alongside a short film of the students creating their textile pieces. Visitors to this event can also listen to videos of stories collected from local people as they recall their memories of Rathangan.
During the evening, Aideen will also hold a textile art workshop. Why not take the opportunity to make an embroidery piece with images from the local area!
Advance booking is only required for the workshop.
