In conjunction with her exhibition, Monuments of Abandoned Futures in LHQ Gallery, visual artist Ciara Rodgers invites you to a talk and workshop where participants are guided to create charcoal architectural drawings. Materials are provided and no prior drawing experience expected!
Join artist Ciara Rodgers in an exploration of our built environment through drawing at the Library Headquarters Gallery. Beginning with a brief talk on the exhibition, her methods of research and influential artists, participants will then be facilitated to engage in charcoal drawing from architectural subjects and forms. Central to the workshop are ideas of positive and negative space on the drawing plane and challenging our own ideas around composition and landscape.
All materials will be provided, and no prior drawing experience is needed.
Spaces are limited, booking essential
