A themed LEGO brick art event for all ages, designed to enable the interpretation of Irish heritage in a fun, creative way.

This event features the exhibition of ‘Heritage at Play’, a LEGO brick art collection based on Irish culture and heritage, originally commissioned by The Heritage Council and created by brick artist Jessica Farrell.

Attendees are invited to further explore the theme by taking part in three separate LEGO brick building activities, trying their hand at creating a wildflower tapestry or making their own Celtic knotwork mosaic. The workshops will be run in a similar fashion to the workshops Jessica has facilitated at Kildare libraries, with all bricks provided on the day.

The LEGO brick art exhibition and linked activities are being co-ordinated with and in conjunction with several other art, craft and music events taking place in Rathangan on the same evening. Locals and visitors will be encouraged to make a circuit of the town and experience each event in a drop-in / drop-out fashion.
