Legacy is celebrating more than 60 years of craftsmanship by master potter Con Lynch in a unique exhibition at ‘The Canopy’.

Hundreds of Con’s hand-thrown ceramic bowls are arranged in stacks on three shelves in the ‘Cube’ within ‘The Canopy’ arcade, recreating elements of his workshop and highlighting themes such as time, repetition and the perfection of his craft on the potter’s wheel.

For decades, Con has used locally sourced materials for his glazes and drawn inspiration from the surrounding bogland for the shapes, colours and textures of his work.

This ‘Ceramic Poem’ presentation, entitled ‘Legacy’, brings Con’s workshop directly to the public, and the ‘Cube’ showcases his craftsmanship – a free exhibition open to all, which everyone can experience during Culture Night.
