Laneway Gallery – Heroes and Villains: From the Club to the Gallery

Laneway Gallery

A night of sound and vision at the Laneway Gallery, hosted in collaboration with Electronic Music Council.

HEROES and VILLAINS is an exhibition of paintings, digital art and photography highlighting certain key figures who left an indelible mark on art and culture in the 1970s and 80s, including Bowie, Bacon and Burroughs. It loosely explores the idea of Archetypes, in particular the Hero and their evil twin, the Villain.

Curated by artist GM Spiers, the exhibition will  become the stage for performances by EMC members, including Berlin-era Bowie and electronic sound pioneers Cabaret Voltaire.

Free non-alcoholic cocktails will be provided for our first 80 guests at the gallery, sponsored by Frostbyte, Irelands most exciting low calorie cocktail brand.

Digital forms of Heroes & Villains will move to the club environment, accompanied by performances from EMC DJs at Crack Jenny’s and Edison.
