All Bodies: Film and Podcast

Online

Disabled people have bodies that function differently from the socially ‘normal’ body. ‘All Bodies’ is a film and a podcast featuring artists and a curator with disabilities. See performances from poet Philip Kenny and the indie-rock band Banríon. Their performances were filmed especially for Culture Night at the LAB Gallery, surrounded by artworks from Gemma Browne’s exhibition, ‘The Invisible Sorceress’

The podcast includes conversations with Banríon’s frontperson Róisín Ní Haicéad, poet Philip Kenny and theatre practitioner Mairéad Folan. This podcast aims to examine disability in an insightful and personal way by reflecting on the artists’ and curator’s experiences of navigating the normative world. The film and podcast will be available on the LAB Gallery’s website and on its social media platforms. Programme curated by Róisín Power Hackett, the ARC LAB Curatorial Scholar.
