Kerlin Gallery

Exhibition of the work of Merlin James

Offline

“The Kerlin Gallery opens its doors for guests to view the exhibition ‘Window’ by artist Merlin James. ‘Window’ comprises of works predominantly completed over the last three years, made at James’s studio near the river Clyde in Glasgow. In these paintings James refers to the view of the river, but also to the surrounding buildings and the more interior life of their occupants. While some of the works seem to approach total abstraction, others are very specific in their representation. To mark the special evening of Culture Night 2021, we will be keeping our doors open until 7pm. The Kerlin Gallery staff will give a walkthrough of the exhibition, to offer more information on these works. Find the Kerlin Gallery on Anne’s Lane in the Grafton Quarter, tucked away on the left-hand side…before the umbrellas.”
