She has taken culture week as an opportunity to exhibit her personal paintings and to share pieces of art from some of her talented friends.
As an experienced art and photography teacher, Karen explore’s signs and symbols, mark making and the art of ‘Play’ in her paintings.
‘As children we play, explore and create. We learn to dance, sing and make art. When we get older we may become less willing to express ourselves in such a carefree way.
Karen has a love and deep understanding of yoga and mindfulness, which is evident in her work and in the way she teaches. Art is a way of visually communicating a thought, feeling and emotion.
This exhibition will host other local artists, in a welcoming, open and diverse space focused within a creative community.
