Jack Duggan, the Wild Colonial Boy, Culture & Heritage event to gather local stories, memories and photographs.

This Culture Night event will bring the community together to explore and document local knowledge relating to Jack Duggan and the folklore surrounding the Wild Colonial Boy.

The gathering will create a welcoming space where local history, folklore and community memory can be shared and recorded for future generations. The event an open community gathering welcoming all ages and will include:

A display of existing research and historical information; Informal discussions with local historians and community members; Collection and recording of local stories relating to Jack Duggan and local folklore Scanning and documenting historical photographs and family memorabilia;Recording community memories for future heritage projects and archives.

Members of the public are welcome to join and to contribute family stories, historical information, photographs, documents and memories which may help preserve an important aspect of local cultural heritage. As many valuable stories and photographs remain in private family collections, Culture Night provides an ideal opportunity to encourage people to bring forward material that might otherwise be lost.
