The Embassy of Ireland is proud to present the first edition of the Irish street photography exhibition trail – Ireland in Frame.
Across Berlin, six Irish owned bars, restaurants, and shops will host a wide variety of Irish street photography that together project a rich and intriguing spectrum of real life in Ireland – from the pilgrimage of Croagh Patrick, to glitzy Trinity ball – from inner city Dubliners to west of Ireland horse markets and fisheries.
The exhibition will be displayed on high definition screens from the shop windows out to the streets serving as a portal to help satisfy wanderlust. As the first instance of Ireland’s esteemed ‘Culture Night’ travelling from the shores of Ireland, it will be a shared Irish-German experience, communicated on social media channels through #irelandinframe.
The 6 renowned and up-and-coming photographers display exquisite talents in capturing everyday moments and turning them into something fantastic – bringing magic to the mundane, with unique aesthetic character.
The exhibition features Eamonn Doyle, Birte Kaufmann (aus Berlin), Kenneth O’Halloran, Laura Jean Zito (featuring poetry by Gabriel Rosenstock), Lorcan Finnegan, and Jeanette Lowe.
Visitors of the trail can register to pick up a ‘Trail card’ with which they will be entitled to complementary drinks from the exhibition sponsors O’Hara’s and Magners. With registration, they can also enter a draw to attend the limited capacity opening night event at the Embassy of Ireland, Berlin. The exhibition will run from the 18th September – 2nd October 2020.
An online version of the trail will display a selection from the exhibition, and online viewing of the opening event at the Embassy will be available from
