Description:

Hugh Lane Gallery presents a special offsite Culture Night programme at Abbey Church, featuring an evening of live music spanning cello, experimental sound, percussion, synths and film.

The programme opens at 18:15 with Marmosets, the acclaimed duo-cello project of Mary Barnecutt and Lioba Petrie.

At 19:15, Unshaped Form: ‘Lift Off’ brings together Lioba Petrie (cello/vocals), Cameron Doyle (guitar/effects), and special guests Sam Perkin (piano) and Matthew Jacobson (percussion). The performance accompanies a programme of short films, ranging from cartoon animation to original footage from the Voyager space mission, inspired by the theme of outer space.

The evening concludes at 20:15 with Matthew Jacobson, performing on percussion and synths.
