Headford Lace Sound Walk Launch and Introduction to Carrickmacross Lacemaking

Culture Night with HLP will celebrate Ireland's unique lacemaking heritage. We will begin by launching our exciting new sound walk. Visitors will be invited to turn on their phone GPS, put on headphones and set off to discover a time when lacemaking wasn’t a hobby, but a matter of survival for an entire community. Join a cast of characters, immersive sounds and music on this audio walk with a difference. Upon returning from the walk, lacemaker Rosie Bell from the South Armagh Lace Collective will give a talk on Carrickmacross Lace, a beautiful Irish lace with a rich history.
