Forget me Not is a video installation, projected onto a Headford building after dark on Culture Night. Between 1848 and 1850, during the dark years of poverty and hunger, thirteen girls aged 15-19 were given assisted passage to Australia to begin a new life. The Headford Lace Project has collaborated with Tasmanian artist Christina Henri, who will be in Headford this weekend to collect bonnets made by the project to remember these thirteen (and over 60 more Irish girls) who were transported. Please see www.headfordlaceproject.ie for further information on the full programme of events over the weekend.
