Description:

This Culture Night, the National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks invites visitors to take part in an engaging, hands-on session and explore the social movements that changed Ireland. From Women’s Suffrage to Trans Solidarity movements, visitors can explore Ireland’s evolution over 100 years of history through a drop-in handling session.

This session will take place in the Museum Reception area from 17:30 – 19:00.

Handling sessions can be expected to take from 5-15 minutes. Children must be fully supervised by a parent or adult who is in loco parentis.

All galleries in Collins Barracks are fully accessible. The site has three lifts, located in the east corner servicing floors one to three of the decorative arts section of the museum. There are two lifts in the Soldiers and Chiefs exhibition.
Accessible toilets are located in the main reception, the ground floor of the Soldiers and Chiefs Exhibition, and in the Riding School (temporary gallery).
Mobile stools are available upon request from the Reception Desk.
Wheelchairs are available from the Reception Desk on request. Please call ahead to reserve one on +353 1 6777444.
There are seating areas available in the majority of galleries.
