Description:

Take a guided tour of Broadstone, a famous Dublin 7 landmark steeped in history. The historical Broadstone building operated as the headquarters of the Midland & Great Western Railway from 1847 and 1937. Built between 1841 and 1850, and known as the ‘Director’s House’, the building was designed by John Skipton Mulvaney and sat in front of a train shed offering rail access to points across the west of Ireland. Since the establishment of Ireland’s national bus company, Bus Éireann, in February 1987, the building has operated as offices for Bus Éireann as part of the Broadstone bus depot. The historical walking tour of Broadstone is open to all members of the public who are eighteen years and over.
