Designed and delivered by visual artist Rachel Doolin, this gentle BEAG experience focuses on sound, colour, creative play and of course, rain! Children from birth to three and their carers are invited to Graffiti’s Swortzell Studio to relax and stretch out from 2pm-3pm.
A rainstick sets the scene, soft rain falls, the artists sit under an umbrella. Will the rain stop? There’s a sense of excitement, anticipation and wonder as this short interactive performance unfolds. As with all BEAG experiences children are invited to play and explore their environment, their senses, the materials, instruments with the support of the artists.
What Colour is the Rain? provides an opportunity to explore sound pattern, rhythm and further develop children’s abilities to express themselves creatively and imaginatively.
(performance 15 mins approx with free play up to 45mins afterwards)
