Interested in the history of An Garda Síochána? Visit the Museum of An Garda Síochána in Dublin Castle to experience a unique exhibition of artefacts, multimedia presentations, and contemporary equipment examining the organisation’s history. These collections, spanning the course of two centuries, provide an informative insight into policing in Ireland– from night watchmen to the Royal Irish Constabulary. Places will be limited to six people per 30 minute tour, and pre-booking will be necessary. Please email your time preference to museum@garda.ie to book a slot. Additionally, a pre-recorded tour of the Garda Museum will be available to watch online on Youtube. Our virtual tour will be made available via Youtube from 4pm on Friday, 17 September for those who cannot attend in person. To watch the tour on YouTube, please click here. COVID-19 Health and Safety measures are in place at the Museum, including a one-way system and hand-sanitising stations.
