Description:

This Culture Night, discover the sounds of the Indonesian gamelan in a hands-on workshop presented by the National Concert Hall. Suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over, these welcoming sessions offer a rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most distinctive musical traditions.

No previous musical experience is required, just a willingness to take off your shoes, sit on the floor, and have fun. Guided by experienced facilitators, participants will explore the rich, interlocking sounds of the gamelan and enjoy making music together in an inclusive and relaxed environment.

Workshops take place in the Gamelan Room at 6.15pm, 7.45pm, and 9.15pm, with each session lasting approximately 45 minutes.

Tickets are available in person only from 30 minutes before each workshop begins. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
