GALWAY RAPE CRISIS CENTRE ‘OPENING DOORS’ ON CULTURE NIGHT 2022

Galway Rape Crisi Centre

Galway Rape Crisis Centre are opening our doors on Culture Night so that the community we serve can come in and meet the people doing the work, ask questions if they wish, learn a little something or just chat to us and have some light refreshments.

The Active* Consent programme based at the University of Galway is partnering with Galway Rape Crisis Centre for Culture Night 2023 to present an excerpt from their original play based on research data with young people that will be touring colleges around the island of Ireland in autumn 2022.  The Kinds of Sex You Might Have at College is a play about what you want, how you want it and what happens when you don’t.  It explores the light and dark sides of sexual experience, including the experience of survivors negotiating their healing journey.

GRCC will be providing a Creative Response room in which individuals can respond creatively to the content presented on Culture Night.
