The Prix Pictet aims to harness the power of all genres of photography to draw global attention to issues of sustainability, especially those concerning the environment. Founded in 2008 by the Pictet Group, the Prix Pictet has become the world’s leading award for photography and sustainability. To date, there have been 8 cycles of the award, each of which has highlighted a particular facet of sustainability. The 9 themes are Water, Earth, Growth, Power, Consumption, Disorder, Space, Hope, and Fire.
The cycle ‘Hope’ has been exhibited in London, Tokyo, Zurich, and Tel Aviv. Come and admire the work of the shortlisted artists: Shahidul Alam, Margaret Courtney-Clarke, Rena Effendi, Lucas Foglia, Janelle Lynch, Gideon Mendel, Ross McDonnell, Ivor Prickett, Robin Rhode, Awoiska van der Molen, and Alexia Webster.
