Limerick - Limerick City

Gallery Interlude

Ask not what culture can do for you, but what you can do for culture

Gallery Interlude, a joint project between Contact Studios and Lucky Lane,

Gallery Interlude presents ‘ASK NOT WHAT CULTURE CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR CULTURE’, multimedia conceptual artwork, by Michele Horrigan and Sean Lynch, a critique on the relationship between art making today and unstable urban structures…. Candid conversation on Limerick’s perilous cultural state – and fun!

Our aims:

To provide a forum for Limerick based artists to exhibit their work direct to the public, in a city sorely lacking these opportunities.

To stimulate footfall and participation in the city’s cultural life

To highlight the lack of studios and available cultural outlets in the city.

As part of this initiative we are also partnered with The Glen Tavern and Art Mad, who are aligned with us in our desire to revitalise Limerick City, and realise Limerick’s potential as a liveable city and destination.

We are kindly sponsored by The Glen Tavern and ArtMad/Normoyle Frawley Framing.
