Come along to Íontas, your local community hub, for an evening of Hands-on Making along with information and stories of flax farming and harvesting, fair days and factories around the industry that built the town Castleblayney.

Local Artist and Flax artisan Úna Curley will do a talk on the lost flax farming communities at 7pm and share how rushes were important for binding a community… with demonstrations and hands-on making, it promises to be an engaging evening. Úna will also bring along some of the crafted items from her collection.
