For Culture Night 2026, contemporary Irish visual artist Louise Peat, joined by fellow artist Daniel McKeon working from neighbouring studios on Henrietta Street, opens the doors of her Basement 5 Henrietta Street studio to celebrate its grand finale with a vibrant Finissage. This event promises to be an intimate evening of art, conversation, and encounter.

Finissage invites visitors into the working life of the studio—a space where ideas are tested, materials transformed, and artworks emerge. Alongside a presentation of recent works, visitors are invited to experience the atmosphere of one of Dublin’s longest-standing artist communities, hidden within the remarkable Georgian buildings of Henrietta Street. For more than half a century, these eighteenth-century rooms have sheltered generations of artists, offering spaces of experimentation, making, and exchange.

As this extraordinary chapter draws to a close, Finissage marks both an ending and a celebration—a final gathering that honours the creative life of the studios while reflecting on the urgent need to protect affordable workspaces for artists in Dublin.

The exhibition continues until 26 September 2026, open 11am – 5pm Monday to Saturday.
