Fáilte Isteach Trad Music Session with Drumshanbo Comhaltas

Drumshanbo Comhaltas Branch host a ‘Failte Isteach’ music session. Artists on the night include Bríd O Keefe, fiddle and piano player; Sven Paetz, bouzouki, banjo and guitar; Orla Ward, mouth organ, flute, whistle and Seán Nós dancing champion and Sarah Ward, mouth organ, fiddle, bodhran, whistle, and Seán Nós dancing champion.

This will be an interactive session - chatting with the audience, inviting singers, storytellers and musicians to participate in the session. Step dancers, Séan Nós dancers and brush dancers are also welcome. Local tunes will be the focal point with the emphasis on passing on local tunes from generation to generation. Sarah and Orla Ward between them hold sixteen All Ireland Medals in mouth organ and there will be a display of mouth organ music on the night.

This promises to be a great night of musical entertainment. Musicians, singers, dancers, storytellers and listeners are all welcome. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments served.
